PROJECTS

Firth Park.JPG
CITY OF GOLD COAST - RECREATIONAL PARKS
Constraints Analysis
  • Review of existing flood and environmental constraints to identify design options for the implementation of recreational facilities.

  • Identify high level hydraulic impacts associate with design options.

  • Investigate opportunities to improve ecological values.

  • Identify any conflicts between the City Plan code provisions and site constraints.

Ecological Assessment

  • Ecological Assessment to identify existing environmental values of the site and the preparation of a professional report detailing the results of the site survey and findings.

  • Specialist advice on the layout design to protect environmental features.

  • Fauna survey.

  • Assessment of potential impacts to ecological values resulting from the proposed development.

BRISWEST INDUSTRIAL SUBDIVISION
Stormwater Management, Hydraulic Assessment

  • A 62 ha industrial subdivision.

  • Undertook hydraulic modelling to size three (3) large detention basins for the mitigation of peak flow.

  • Sizing of hydraulic control structures including outlet pipes, culverts, pits and weirs.

  • Modelling analysis was based on 2D hydraulic modelling software - TUFLOW.

BROADWATER PARKLANDS
Coastal Management

  • Offset marine habitat losses, associated with reclamation aspects of the project.

  • Design and construction of a 1.2 ha tidal mangrove wetland.

  • Improve the quality of stormwater discharged into the Broadwater.

  • Increased diversity of marine habitat.

  • Upgrade of the foreshore recreational parkland.

  • Design of regional boating facility.

  • Foreshore reclamation and beach nourishment.

  • Concept designs.

  • Project Coordination - Civil.

  • Environmental Offset design

Ecological Assessment

  • Marine Ecological Assessment to identify existing marine habitat values of the precinct's foreshore and internal tidal lake.

  • Arborist Assessment of existing tree specimens to identify condition and health.

  • Inform master plan designs which will seek to retain areas of significant value.

  • Identify opportunities for additional habitat creation.

Wetland.jpg
190 GOLDMINE ROAD

  • Conceptual stormwater management plan for Reconfiguration of Lot (ROL) application.

  • Design of a stormwater treatment wetland to meet necessary site pollutant removal efficiencies.

  • Inclusion of both stormwater quality and quantity treatment measures to ensured that increases in stormwater pollutants and peak flow are mitigated.

  • Conceptual sediment and erosion controls designed to minimise the discharge of sediment laden stormwater.

COLGATE SITE
Ecological and Stormwater Management

  • Ecological Assessment to identify existing environmental values of the site, with a focus on koala habitat.

  • Development of a rehabilitation management plan for retained koala habitat and surrounding disturbed land.

  • Design of a precinct-wide stormwater management system to address stormwater quality and quantity.

  • Provision of specialist advice throughout court proceedings to inform ecological outcomes.

Old coach road.JPG
OLD COACH ROAD UPGRADE

  • Provided erosion and sediment control advice to the City of Gold Coast as part of a large road upgrade project.

  • Developed and documented erosion and sediment control plans for implementation on site.

  • Undertook staged audits to ensure control measures were implemented and maintained with CPESC certification.

MARINA MIRAGE

  • Under marine plant impact assessment as part of a marina upgrade proposal.

  • An underwater drone was used to assess pylons and benthic flora.

  • Shoreline assessment of marine values.

Marine Plant Assessment
Gold Coast Airport.JPG
GOLD COAST AIRPORT PRECINCT

  • A 2D TUFLOW hydraulic model was used to assess existing flood behaviour.

  • Updated hydrology was undertaken to reflect AR&R rainfall.

  • Modelling was conducted to assess hydraulic structure upgrades.

Hydraulic Assessment
Montego Hills.JPG
MONTEGO

  • A 157 lot rural residential development - 4,000 m2 lots.

  • Prepared Stormwater Management designs for 9 treatment basins in association with Mortons Urban Solutions.

  • Undertook hydraulic modelling of major drainage lines and conveyance structures.

  • Supervised bioretention construction.

Stormwater Management
Eastlake Street.JPG
EASTLAKE STREET - INDUSTRIAL

  • A 17 lot industrial subdivision over 18 ha.

  • Undertook an environmental assessment to identify site environmental values.

  • Prepared a rehabilitation plan for degraded locally significant wetland areas.

  • Documented a stormwater management plan which included two large bioretention systems for the treatment of stormwater runoff,

  •  Prepared a 2D hydraulic model to predict flood behaviour across the site and analyse the degree of impact to flood levels and velocities.

Stormwater Management, Hydraulic Assessment, Ecological
Commera2.JPG
RESIDENTIAL SUBDIVISION, COOMERA

  • Stormwater Management for 288 lot freehold residential subdivision.

  • Design and documentation of two (2) large stormwater treatment measures.

  • Ensured that increases in stormwater pollutants and peak flow are mitigated prior to discharge to downstream properties.
